A nod to Japanese listening rooms, Rekōdo (Japanese for ‘record’) blurs the line between food, drink and music to create an immersive restaurant and vinyl bar with a Japanese bent. Sake, cocktails, wine, and dishes that ignite the senses are set to a killer soundtrack curated by a collective of artists and vinyl DJs.

The talent line up is Rockstar level, with Head Chef and vinyl-lover Tara Chua, serving up a playlist of Japanese-inspired dishes that hit the senses. Curated by Head Bartender Pauric Kenney, our drinks list showcases Japanese-inspired flavours, signature cocktails, great wine, and an ever-growing whiskey list.

The view is unbeatable, with floor to ceiling glass windows that showcase the sparkling lights of the city & the sun glimmering off the ocean during the day!

The Role

We are on the hunt for an experienced Assistant Manager who has worked in some of Sydney’s best restaurants to bring their passion for great restaurant service and their love of hospitality to our elite venue.

With a mix of clientele ranging from corporates and foodies, to music lovers and friends getting together for a night on the town, your passion for service will be ignited here.

Your role will involve all of the venue essentials including the day-to-day running of the shift, opening and closing the venue, back of house administration and banking, training and developing the team, hiring staff, rostering and assisting patrons. Motivating, inspiring and training your team will be at the forefront and ensuring the patron experience is paramount.

Having worked for some of Australia’s best hospitality establishments, your skills will be fine-tuned and you will be an expert communicator, with the ability to provide exceptional service and care to patrons. Running a high quality, busy F & B service as well as being a presence on the floor and an avid leader will be your super powers.
